Dyslexia Depot COVID- Related Reading Deficits The U.S. Department of Education recently released data showing that from 2020 to 2022, average reading scores for 9-year olds demonstrated the sharpest decline since 1990. Now, with state and federal funding supports, schools are seeking ways to help these kids gain traction and improvetheir reading. Two options include working directly with the student(s) as well as training teachers on the neuroscience of reading.
